“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” -Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)
To grow as a gospel community, living and sharing faith, hope and love.
“I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.” -1 Corinthians 2:2
Every week, it’s our heart to present a simple message for a complicated world, Jesus + Nothing = Everything. There is so much emphasis, both inside and outside the church, on you and what you should or shouldn’t be doing. Unfortunately, the bible is treated like a self-help manual as if everything is riding on us. What we need isn’t good advice, we need good news…we need the gospel, the good news of what Jesus has done in our place!
“we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord” -2 Corinthians 4:5
We believe that as we move the focus off ourselves and fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, we are being transformed.
“we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” -2 Corinthians 3:18
For us, church isn’t just a meeting, an organization or an institution…we are the family of faith. We believe that God’s heart for us is to love, serve and care for each other, with no strings attached. We purpose our Sunday services to have a living room feeling, where people feel at ease and at home. We want everyone to feel free to be themselves, so come as you are, whatever you feel comfortable wearing is perfect!
We believe in the Eternal Godhead who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
We believe in the creation, test and fall of man as recorded in Genesis and his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Romans 3:10-18).
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of men, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man (Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16).
We believe Christ died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day, and personally appeared to His disciples (1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25).
We believe in the bodily ascension of Jesus to heaven, His exaltation, and His personal, literal, and bodily coming again the second time for the Church (John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
We believe in the salvation of sinners by grace, through faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary by which we obtain remission of sins (Ephesians 2:8-9; Hebrews 9:12, 22; Romans 5:11).
